Background
ABENA UK Ltd was established in July 1999 from modern offices in Nuneaton in Warwickshire, to spearhead sales and marketing efforts into the UK incontinence market.
The UK Incontinence market is undergoing dramatic change, with NHS Trusts and PCT's/PCG's driving the Continence market.
Recognising that each customer has specific needs, Abena UK Ltd delivers custom made solutions on a customer specific basis. The company is staffed by professionals with many years combined experience of all sectors of the UK Healthcare market. Our aim is customer total satisfaction.
A Green statement
by Abena
As an international company dealing in disposable products Abena recognises the fact that we have an impact on the environment; this fact drives us to balance the users' needs with the environmentally best solution in a systematic way and often there is a synergy between the environmental benefits and users' benefits.
An example of this is our new generation of thin baby nappies, which are more attractive since they are thinner and weigh less but perform even better than the classical nappies.
The minimised use of raw materials equals less impact on the environment in both the production and waste stages, thus is a benefit for the child, the parents and the environment.

ABENA UK - UK wide Distribution
ABENA products can be distributed to the UK market in a variety of ways to suit individual customer need. For example:
- Full Truckload consignments can be shipped direct from the Abena Group factory in Denmark, to the customers stores, for example NHS Regional Distribution Centres. Our twin UK distribution centres in Coventry and Littlehampton offer valuable, local backup stocks.
- If smaller consignments are preferred, deliveries can be made, as required, to any NHS destination, including local NHS Stores, Clinics/Health Centres, Hospitals, Residential Homes or direct to the end user patient (for example via a dedicated Home Delivery Service Contract such as those commonly seen in England and Wales).
The overriding objective is to ensure that products reach the customer in a format, from a single case to a full Truckload, which meets their specific needs.
ABENA UK can offer flexible, specialist delivery options from sites around the UK. Dedicated, screened drivers are carefully selected for their ability to empathise and generally “go the extra mile” for customers. With excellent local knowledge, a quality delivery service is assured.
Abena UK has available a team of trained nurses who are available to give customers high quality training in the correct usage of Abena products. All training is provided at no cost to the customer.
